We commonly see neck pain and limited range-of-motion arising from a variety of causes:
Spending too much time at the computer
Whiplash from sudden acceleration-deceleration
Sleeping wrong
And more
Trigger points in muscles may cause some people to have pain up the sides of their necks, others at the base of the neck, or base of the skull, or coming from a spot between the shoulder blade and the spine. Some folks were injured in a fall or auto accident resulting in whiplash-- even a long time ago! Tight neck or shoulder muscles can restrict range-of-motion and make it difficult to turn the head-- hard to see the blind spot while you're driving! (we can help!) Many times, trigger points can refer pain to the head causing headaches. Whatever the cause of YOUR neck pain, your Shine massage therapist will be sure to listen to your needs and use the most effective tools in their box to help you find lasting relief as soon as possible!
